About Mental Health Movement
Advocating for Change.
Reframing the conversation.
Connecting communities.
Mental Health Movement (MHM) is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues in New Zealand. We share impactful stories, provide resources, and support those affected to foster more understanding within people that everyone has mental health.

Our mission and vision
Our mission is to implement mental health education into the national curriculum for all levels of education.
We are empowering rangatahi to have more understanding and agency over their mental health.
Our vision is to create more services for young people and ensuring they have access to the resources they need.
We want to reshape how we approach mental health in less of a clinical and negative way, in a more creative and positive way through the likes of storytelling, music, and other art forms.
We want to create a cultural shift from mental health being a personal burden to a community and shared responsibility.
